DC Ice Breakers is a GLBTQ social group. We ice skate at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Ballston on the 3rd Wednesday night of each month, with a social after at a local bar. But we also host party game nights, lazy river tubing, high-speed boat cruises, winery tours, and so much more!

Ice skating novices are welcome at our skating events - many of the people who join us have never skated before. Or feel free to come just for the social.

We're always looking for new ideas - feel free to make suggestions!

***TEAM DC MEGA GAME NIGHT***

Bailey's Pub & Grill, Arlington (in the Ballston Common Mall)

Been a while since our last Mega Game Night. This time, we're hosting it on behalf of Team DC - the umbrella org for virtually ALL of DC's LGBT sports groups. And all 30 of their groups are invited to join in. Holy cow - that's a lot of athletes in one room! Our previous Mega Game Nights had 250-350 attendees - let's see if we can top those numbers. YOU DON'T NEED TO BE A MEMBER OF ANY TEAM DC GROUP TO ATTEND - everyone is welcome!

There'll be FREE board gaming, FREE pool, FREE tabletop shuffleboard, FREE darts, FREE FOOD, great DRINK SPECIALS and tons of awesome DOOR PRIZES! And admission is FREE. What more could you ask for?

It all takes place on Saturday, September 7, from 7:30 pm - midnight, at Bailey's Pub & Grill at Ballston Mall (Arlington), just 3 blocks from the Ballston Metro. There's plenty of cheap ($1) garage parking onsite.

We'll have more than 50 board games to choose from, including the custom gay edition of "Apples to Apples", ONLY available here! And Bailey's will provide us with (limited) FREE pizza, chicken wings, chips and dip, plus FREE use of the pool tables, tabletop shuffleboard, and darts. Drink specials will be announced. Prizes will include board games, tickets for a DC United game, and more.

NOTICE: We won't be skating in June. Watch this space for info about our July skate.

We generally skate the 3rd Wednesday night of each month, at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex, on top of the Ballston Common Mall parking garage, 627 N. Glebe Road, Arlington. After skating, we hit a local bar for a social hour. Skating is $8 + $3 for skate rental. Skating is from 8:20-9:20 pm, with a social from 9:20 pm - ??? Plenty of cheap parking in the mall - and just 2 blocks from the Ballston Metro.
